Memorial Day Weekend - Fleet Week
A wonderful church service today at Marble Collegiate Church. Pastor Brown gave a wonderful sermon. Several members of the Navy were at the service as well as other service members, for Fleet Week. A moving reading by the Naval Chaplain.
Afterwards they all went out front and hung the ribbons on the fence of those who died this past week in the War.
Very moving and touching.
They fight so that we can be free.
Remembering all who have fought for our Freedom over the years. Including my father, Lt. Col. James Wesley Westbrook. (1928-2003).
He was in the Navy first, then switch to the USAF.
He taught me to be proud of my country!
I am!!
Thank you Dad!
